Thanked: 39testing, testing.....123 damascus straight
7/8 damascus with solid core
stabilized ebony one piece handle (copied Tim Zowada)
mokume washers with ni-silver pin
This is another razor with a different steel to be honed and tested by Max.
This is the third of four that I'll make for testing
I thought we were learning about which steel would be best for a razor, but I find that I'm learning a bunch about razors from having Max test them. Thanks Max.

The 'Hoss' is in the house! Sweet looking damascus razor. Great work on the one piece handle too. Very well executed which off course is to be expected coming from you.

Thanked: 3795Well I think you'd learn more by having more than one person hone and test them. I will gladly volunteer for number 4!!!
You have done beautiful work here. Are you a knifemaker? Please say yes, I'd hate to think you did such a great job on your third attempt without past experience.

Thanked: 39I made my first knife in 1978. I'm known mostly for my damascus steel and for my kitchen knives.
This is my 7th straight razor. I've made 1 DE.
This one is the third razor for testing.
Glad you like it. Thanks everyone.

Wow! That thing is beautiful. I like how it's a no nonsense shape and stuff. The steel and the scales just sort of speak for themselves. Gorgeous work.

'Notha beauty Hoss. I quite like the more subtle etching... Or is that a characteristic of this steel.
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.
