Todd's Baby
Todd dropped his "Baby", an old Wm. Gilchrist made somewhere between 1851 and 1861 in NJ or in Philadelphia. Blamed it on his wife! (That's another story)! These are unobtainum and something had to be done! Todd failed to mention the backside ivory was badly cracked! I found one of "Foster's" old back scales in my pile(whoever Foster was), and matched them up. Thanks to a photoshop fix by none other than onimaru55 on the razors forum (Thanks), I reshaped his blade and set a new bevel, pinned it up with Babur's reinforced fancy collars, stainless spacers, and some silver rod after much sanding and polishing of the ivory. I have not honed it yet, but plan on shaving with it this weekend before sadly sending it back to Todd. It's a NICE one! Thanks for looking!
"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.
