7/8 Greaves Wedge in Translucent Horn
Hi guys!
Have finally finished a couple of personal project razors recently after a bit of a hiatus from restore work, so would like to share them with you!
First up is an awesome 7/8 Greaves, a very very heavy razor that I lightly buffed to a high shine and rescaled in beautiful translucent horn modelled after the originals. I had the scales ready to go a while ago but damaged one trying to transplant the escutcheon from the originals. After remaking it I decided to leave the escutcheon out for now. The blade still wears its fair share of pits, as I decided against grinding or sanding too deep. Why rob her of all her age spots I say. Pins are 1/16 brass rod, washers are domed brass. Wedge is matching horn.
Yet to hone but very pleased with the classic look.
Thanks for your time! EF.Last edited by EisenFaust; 05-20-2011 at 06:20 AM.

Very Classy, I really like how the lines of the razor and scales meld together.

Thanked: 993A very nice Greaves. I love the scales.
I was lucky enough to find a greaves wedge, and it's the only wedge that I'm able to shave with. There's just something about it that feels smoother and softer than some of the others.
Great job!
