John Heiffor Ivory Original British Razors
I was fortunate to acquire these nice John Heiffor Razors from the same person. I feel that they have always been together since new as the razors and boxes were too close condition wise. Also they apparently were unused/unhoned upon inspection. I felt fortunate that the rust was not worse, esp on the carved one as I was not inclined to unpin them. The faux frameback razor was pretty rusty and lots of work was involved in hand sanding/polishing/buffing to get it presentable. I suppose some would not necessarily call this a resto, but I figure a good 25 hours were spent(at least). The frosting was saved on the carved one and most of the rust stains sanded/polished out. All without disturbing the pins! On an interesting note, the boxes are so pristine that they "snap" when putting the tops on! I have never experienced that. I really like the way the Faux frameback one rests in the scales! I am very happy with the outcome! I think of them as "The Beauty and the Beast" ! Thank you for looking!

A beautifully elegant pair of razors.
Just about everywhere they had spittle of rust. But the razor spirits looked out for you leaving the frosting free. Looks like they were a nice challenge, and well worth the effort.
