Love it, I've always wondered what you would do with a Kiku boshi.

Thanked: 21If someone who has one of these razors could make a tracing of the blade and mail it to me I would love to make one. I don't expect anyone to unpin their razor, just trace as good as possible. Knowing what the tang thickness is would be helpful also.
Thanks all,
Jim

Jim,
I don't have one but from what I remember you'd need to start with a 1/4" thick piece of steel. It's also a pretty small razor. It's maybe just over 2" from shoulder to toe. The tang tapers really nice towards the monkey tail but the thickness from the tang all the way to the toe (spine wise) stays pretty thick. The amazing part is the full hollow side of it. The only way to grind this and come close to the original size would be with a 1" contact wheel.
