Thumbs up Kiku boshi SK-1 - G10 Red Devil

This is really a cool razor.
I had one over a year ago but it was merely for a cleanup and a honing.
This one needed a bit more TLC and new scales. G10 red with a devil theme. I have to tell you, it was a challenge. Because of the nature of the small rounded curves I had a real hard time hand sanding. The scales slipped my hands over 25 times and I had to take a break every so often due to cramps in my fingers from trying to get a firm grip. Even the blade restore was a mission. Had to use the lowest RPM on my buffer from fear the wheels would grab the razor. I had to leave just a few pits as they went way to deep. One patch of pitting looked like a bullet ricochet. But overall it turned out perfect. Honing is fun too. It's like doing the samba and throwing a frisbee at the same time. They do take a very sweet edge. Scales are G10 red and black G10 tapered wedge with the usual nickel silver, brass and SS hardware.

Nice work Max! I recently picked up a similar one, though this one looks like it is even more smiling than mine. Love the scales!

Very nice job! I would love to shave with one of those! The red was the only way to go!

That razor has some sexy curves to it, and with the red scales seem a bit Jessica rabbit to me. nice work.

Nice! Your usual consistent quality craftsmanship Max. I could not hone that to save my soul.

Holy smokes...I've never seen a razor like that. It looks a bit like it's from a cartoon.

Nice job though....I love the red scales.

Wow ! Looks like it should belong to Salvador Dali, hehe.
Awesome work & creativity as usual my friend.
