Fili 14 cleaned up and dressed
I've been looking for a Filarmonica 14 for quite sometime, yet was never willing to shell out the $$ that were being asked. One early Sunday morning I came across this "blade only" Fili on Ebay with a "buy it now" that had just been posted. I acted immediately and lets just say that I can't even fill up my gas tank for what I paid (First time I actually felt lucky on ebay!)
I dressed her in some Royal Blue G10 with a Toxic Green G10 Wedge (I thought these seemed in line with the colors of other Filis) and domed brass washers with brass pins. The G10 has a grain pattern that may be hard to see in the photos, but it is really cool looking in person. I have her honed up and will shave with her today sometime.
Here are the photos (there is not a crack at the heel end of the blade, it was a piece of arm hair. I took the pictures right after honing). Enjoy.

Glenn,
First and foremost, congratulations on this amazing eBay find. I can't believe you got her for a song, with gold wash intact and all. Secondly, you have done real well with this one. I love the looks. She looks amazing

Great find and super job on the scales! If you had found one with those funky blue recycled detergent bottle scales, you would not be nearly as happy and would have less dough to boot! NICE Work!

I rest my case.
