Lovely work, it looks like something out of Lord of the Rings! The micarta scales look like they're off a dragon and really accent the razor. I haven't been part of this forum long at all but I'm really looking forward to seeing what some of you post already, thanks for sharing! Happy hammerin'

Another unique and gorgeous razor. That is one of the neatest razors I have ever seen. Love the scales, the blade is incredible. How does she shave?

Thank all of you for the kind post and encouragement.
Thank you for the feedback I too have a soft spot for rough looking blades, But I also like to try out new ideas. I spend way too much time thinking about what I want to make next. I am obsessed.
That is funny you said that I nearly put "1084, canvas micarta, with a dash of Mordor" for the title of the post but did not want to be a nerd.
It shaves well.

Cool razor Charlie. One of these days I'm gonna drive the 13 miles from my house to yours and drop in on you to see some of this work in person!

The tang has more of a visual impact than a tactile impact. The blade rolls easy when stropping and feels good when shaving. The tang feels a bit bigger normal (because it is) but not in a bad way, just different. I like the feel and grip of the tang I find it very comfortable.
