Taylors witness 1000 finished.
Taylors witness 1000 finished.
Well I finally finished the vintage Taylors 1000, the scales were beyond saving and the blade was in fairly bad shape, so a fair amount of hand sanding with wet & dry and all the laborious effort needed to bring the blade back to a fairly good level, so on to the scales, I went with a set from the invisable edge, lots of nervous anticipation waiting thinking did I choose the right set the right colour, well after I finished I needn't have worried they look just fine, well it's your turn to pass judgement and decide if they are your cup of tea, hope you approve.

Thanked: 993Really nice work. The scales are a perfect match for that blade, and the steel is just gleaming. A razor to definitely be proud of.

Those scales are gorgeous. I might have to see if they have more of them. I have two razors I want to rescale into a matching set and those look exactly like what I want to use. The blade is beautiful. Hope she shaves as well for you as she looks. Wonderful job.

Thank you all, the one thing you get on the straight razor forum is a great deal of encouragement with large helpings praise, as a older man myself those two key ingredients ( encouragement & praise) are the two most important things in any young childs development, if you have children use them a lot.
