30mm Brush in Black & Red Mokume M3
This was my first time working with M3 Mokume. It's very rough on the turning tools and requires them to be sharpened frequently. I selected the Black and Red M3 and it is hypnotic to look at. This stuff takes an amazing polish and looks very cool when it is done. The knot is from TGN and is 30mm Silvertip Premium A. I went with the rounded main body with a rounded corner, square top for the knot. I think I'll work more with this material in the future as the effort was really worth it IMHO. Here's the pics, enjoy!

That Black and Red M3 is great looking material. I have used the Black and Gold for scales. Funny, I was just at Masecraft (2 hours ago) looking at the new colors in M3 while picking up some other goods and that Black and Red really pops...Nice job!!!!

Thanks Grant. It feels very comfortable in the hand. The handle is about 2 & 3/4 inches in length and it gives me a nice large surface to hold onto. I find a lot of brush handles to be too small for my taste.
Thanks Stefan. It is slightly heavier (maybe just more dense) than wood, yet it is not overly heavy nor does it feel out of balance. I compared it to a brush made of Cherry wood with a 24mm knot and it is only slightly heavier and the balance felt similar.
