Thanked: 993First one off the buffers!
Hi all,
This is a particularly great post for me. Up to this point I've hand sanded all of my blades. Well, with a little money saved here and there, I've been able to afford a variable speed grinder, the greaseless compounds, and the wheels.
This is my very first attempt at the compounds. I wanted this one to be a satin finish, because I don't own anything like that. So I left it after 600, and used Bocote and Tung oil for the scales. I didn't buff the scales either, just a quick hand rub. Bone wedge.
She's a 7/8 W&B, and she's awesome.

Never knew that saved money can give such a good result. Beautiful razor! And cigar also.

Nice job Maxi. Scales & razor complement each other well .

Pat yourself on the back for that one. That razor has a very marketable look to it. Great job as we all can readily see.
