Thanked: 114Sweet looking razor! I started an ebony project recently and really like the look and feel of ebony. Too bad the material is so expensive or I'd try ebony on a few more razors. :-) Again, great work.

Try bell forest products. they have scales at just the right size for us and at a good price. Here
use the 1/4x1 1/2x9"We sleep soundly in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm."

Thanked: 114Thanks for the link. They seem to have a large selection and prices seem decent too. For example, it looks like a 1.5" X 1.5" X 6" piece of African blackwood is $8.50. That should be enough material for 2?? full sets of scales if your precise with the table saw. I noticed that they also sell thin stock that might be easier to work with. For example, a 1/8" X 3" X 24" piece of gaboon ebony is $30. Expensive, yes, but that should easily be enough material for 4 full sets of scales. I will call them to see if they might be able to produce the blackwood in thin stock which would presumably be less expensive than the gaboon. Thanks again for the link.
