Great photo's of the shop. He is also an incredible host. Due to work issues, I've not made it back there in recent weeks. I hope he made you some espresso. Another of his hobbies.

Thanked: 267Thanks for the pics. Mr. Williams is not only an artist at grinding but a master at making and tempering steel. He is in a class all his own.
Thanks,
Richard

Thanked: 66it's very interesting that I don't see a large expensive belt sander, that looks like a home made one. or were there just not any photos of his ?other? belt sander?
also in the 4th photo, that grinder/sander thing is interesting,(dual shaft one) can you tell me any more about it? they look like large rubber wheels with a sanding drum setup thingi..?..

Thanks very much for sharing that experience. The straight razor shaving community is most fortunate to have
Robert Williams and his obvious love of the craft. Wow!Bob

I think I should clarify something... I put Robert under the gun to make me a razor by
the time I had to leave and he challenged himself to do it. But he was toasted at the end. I highly doubt that he does or should
rush the production of his work and I did not mean to imply that this was the norm.
