Cool 7/8 Clement - Vintage Restore

So this razor came to me from our very own Noswad it is a 7/8 Stamped Clement the only reference I could find was to a Charles Clement out of England..

Here are the before pics after I tore the razor down...
The horn is pretty beat on and there is some very light pitting in the blade..

The first step I took was to sand down the horn with 320 grit sandpaper, as soon as I had a level surface, I used Neatsfoot oil and rubbed it in.. I do this pretty much the same way I do wood finishing, I leave the sanding dust on for the first coat, and then let the oil sit there while I tackle the steel...

I spent some time on the buffer with 80 grit greaseless compound to dig out the pits, the scales got a rub down and a new coat of Neetsfoot oil...

I end up sanding with 400 grit, then more Neatsfoot, and then 600 grit, and more Neatsfoot oil, this pic is after 600 and a rubdown with a rag..
