W&B Custom Restore / Hawcroft Vintage Restore
The Wade & Butcher was actually a full face re-grind to get rid of the deep pitting,almost got a perfect mirror out of it
The scales are Dogwood from a tree in Will's yard he can tell the story better then I... I used a High Gloss Tung oil finish on the scales, took a few days to get it to set up right, but was worth it in the end..
The wedge is made from Recon Mother of Pearl
The Hawcroft & Pearsons is a full Vintage restore
Need to check when I get off work I think I have the before pics on these

The extra time definitely paid off, the finish on those scales is just magic. The blade came up really well. What is your choice of tool for the regrind?

Glen!!! Man I can't wait to get those beauties in my hands. Superb work my friend and I had no idea that those scales would be so good looking.
OK, the story; I grew up in Decatur, GA and we had several large dogwoods that grew in our front yard. One by one they all died over the years, but I spent many happy days climbing up in them especially the one that the scales came out of. It was the last one to go and my son even sat up high in that tree as a child.
Finally that tree died and I salvaged the wood from the trunk and cut a few slabs to send to Glen to look at and see if he thought they would make some nice scales. With a master like Glen, I should have known they would be outstanding.
