    Default Shumate Barber

Shumate Barber Shumate Razor Co St Louis USA

The scales are walnut and have a brass lined wedge. This is my second set of scales. This razor sharpened easily and shaves great.

Well done, and very nice work on the lined wedge. I definitely need to try that soon.

Oh yes....I'm so very happy for you. I love my Shumate. It's in the top 5 of the rotation....consistently. I'm sure yours will be as well.

You've done a spectacular job with that lined wedge.

It already is at the top of my rotation. I bought two more Shumates from the same antique store I found this one in. http://straightrazorpalace.com/show-...-disorder.html

The lined wedge was fun to make. It was not as hard as I thought it was going to be at all. Being the second wedge I have made it came out a lot better than the first. I found that Brad's (Undream) tutorial on making a lined wedge extremely helpful. http://straightrazorpalace.com/works...ned-wedge.html

    +1 on the fine work.

I'm a fan of Shumates - my experience being like others have mentioned. I only wish they made a few more of the larger sizes. I know you're gonna love that razor.
