Custom 10/8 Double Shoulder Traditional
Out of the fire it doth come forth, this double shoulder Iron Horse; and if you dare to test this blade, then upon thy cheek it must be laid !
I was shooting here for something reminiscent of the traditional meat choppers of times past. I used A2 steel for the blade. Scales are Buffalo Horn with ornamental Nickle steel overlay. Spacer is also horn. Satin finish. 1/4 hollow double shoulder grind.

Hey thanks Bill! Yeah, I new that questions was coming. LOL It was a challenge from the beginning to keep the weight in check. It is 4.1 oz. I suppose I could have trimmed a little here and there to get it lower, but I liked the way it looked and a part of me liked the weight, just went with it. Its "balanced" well and feels good in my hand. Definitely not a beginner blade though. Best Regards Ken

Not to be picky but
your scales are off a tad,the spec sheet you sent with mine stated 2.9 OZ.
Took it to the lab at the hospital I work out of,They can wgt a dust particle
Mine was actually 2.75. Nice work man.

Fantastic work Kenny. Love that chopper. I particularly like the grind line that runs back down the tang.

Looks like you could take that 'ol razor into battle with you where it can multi-task as a Rambo survival knife and a cleaver. Great job on the restoration. Bravo!!!
