Old French Razor 1820-1830 - Dijon
Hello !
A simple restoration of an old French straight razor, Currat Dijon, 5/8, for me he looks like an old sheffield. I cleaned up and polished softly the blade to keep the marks of grindstone. The scales have been hydrated during 60 hours and polished.
Thanks !
Have a good week !

I love that you kept the grind marks. Adds to the character of the blade. Great job.

Beautiful razor, it looks fantastic.
You say the scales where hydrated? How was that achieved, and what were they hydrated with?
Thanks for sharing.

Very nice restoration. The collars are modern or original ?
