8/8 Wade & Butcher FBU in Walnut & Antler
Hi All:
After much agonizing she's finally finished. She is a Wade & Butcher For Barber's Use 8/8 Barber Notch.
The spine measures almost 5/16" wide. The scales are hand picked Walnut from offcuts at a local sawmill and the
wedge is a wafer cut from antler off a small whitetail buck i killed many years ago. The pins are brass with stacked brass/stainless/brass
washers to simulate the traditional W&B that was not salvageable. The scales were finished in CA and sanded to 800 wet. I didn't
want them too shiny as they were starting to look a little plastic to me.
I hope you all enjoy her .. my photography is well ... a little poor
Best Regards,
Mike

Thanked: 247Looks great to me! And I can sympathize as well. It's tough taking pictures of shiny things. But I think you did an awesome job of both.Pics and restoration. You've definitely made an heirloom out of that!
