I really like the wedge design
I've been playing around with extending the base of the wedge a bit. It can be a bit finicky to taper accurately, but I've found that they look sweet when they fit. Hmmmm, maybe I got some firsthand knowledge about that with a WB of my own??

If you taper first, then cut/sand out the swoop it will never be a problem again
I saw it once on an old set of scales, and I realized that it also would act as a blade block if dropped or mis-handled and started doing them that way about 3 years ago.. plus I like the look
