    I am working on three sets of curly maple scales, I hope I can get them to turn out as vibrant as yours!

    That wood almost looks like an acrylic! Very nice.

    I'd skip the black jewelers compound and go straight to the white, IMO

    oh I won't use polishing compounds, just go up to about 2500 sandpaper and then oil them. I know they won't be extremely vibrant like yours but I at least hope the wavy effect is pronounced.
