Very nice job considering all the spider rust on that one.

I would be interested as well to see if any of the stuff left near the spine comes back.

    Have fun

Beautiful restore. It looks like a million bucks. Truely fantastic work.

Very nice work on a very nice razor.
Hopefully the scales are stable & present no rust issues.

given the age of the thread this is probably redundant, but for what it's worth I say leave it, improving on perfection is no improvement at all.

Did you sand it by hand, or by drill/Dremel? What grit?

How did you buff and polish? Just looks remarkable to me! I really haven't been interested in doing this to a razor, but the job you did makes me want to ask!

That looks beautiful. I am looking to buy one of these razors, I found one but I fear it might not be a real DOVO on the reverse sde of blade it reads "Stahlwaren-Herbst Wiesbaden" and not fritz or doov? Any thoughts on if this is legit?

I think I had some celluloid rot after a meal of 3 bean chili and beer last week. My razors are OK, but it had an adverse effect on my relationship.
