    Default 8/8 Hanging Blade - Non folder

    Hi guys, this is an 8/8 non-folder. The steel is O1, hardened to 61 HRC. The idea of a for this one came from our very own Jimbo who thought that a cutting edge that hangs from the spine would be cool. This was my version of his concept. I was worried that it would warp during heat treat, but thankfully it went really well.

    Brilliant design, reminds me of a medieval executioners axe, it would have been very apt tool to shave the neck of the condemned before the axe fell.

    Thanks. It feels lighter than it should because the material removed from the blade (lots of drilling and filing ). Nicely balanced.
