Restored W&B in stabalyzed Buckeye burl
I finished restoring this W&B wedges and made a set of stabalized Buckeye burl scales for her.
I made the scales and then soaked them in clear polyeurothane, I let them dry for the rest of the day and then sanded them. I soaked them again in the poly and let dry for 2 days. I then sanded them with high grip paper and polished them. They look amazing in person and not too bad in pictures.

Excellent work. Nice flowing lines on the scales and they almost seem to glow. I've used poly on a lot of different projects from razor scales to furniture making, you won't have to worry about water thats for sure.
I might have to steal your scale design though and use it in the future, it has a regal look to it.
That razor stand is pretty nice too, did you make or purchases it somewhere?
