Nice to see a piece of razor history treated with such respect. A Fine Job!

Looks like it might be Por Barbas Duras Nice touch on the wedge mate.
Hope your sword arm is strong enough for the shave test

That reminds of a joke! I got into a Taxi. I said "Take me where the action is!". No, he did not take me to my house. He took me to Glenns! Always very good work! That wedge work is neat! My complements........Tom

Excellent job. I love the wedge nice touch. I am curious as to the weight of that razor cause it looks like it is heavy. Every part of it looks thick. I think that would be a pleasure to shave with.

My books are showing this monster 8/8 Full Wedge as ca.1800 England stamped "Superior Temper" I checked with a straight edge and this is the closest I have seen to a true wedge in 5 years...
This razor is also the heaviest Vintage razor I have ever weighed, at 2.5 oz for just the steel, she weighs 3.4 oz all up and yes it still balances to the tang

In comparison I just grabbed a random 6/8 Hollow off the shelf and it weighs 1.7 oz

Another fine restore Glen. That is indeed one very chunky blade. Well done, it looks great.

Great job as always Glen, nice touch with the filed wedge

The blade doesn't look that big in the pics, probably because of the huuuge tang, how wide is it?

I think just the tang is 3/8-4/8+ at the widest...and the spine is almost .25" thick...it's a big mamma jamma. should make for interesting stropping until i get used to it

If it doesn't break through the strop from all the weight
