I’d been watching that GONG at the classifieds ($80 delivered) forever and ever! What really got me thinking about buying it was that at Revisor’s site, they have some NOS for sale, none are Revisor and there was a nice GONG listed, but with shipping from Germany it was out of the question.

I contacted BuddyRockefella and asked what he’d take for the razor and he said that it was no longer for sale as it had developed some patina but offered other razors in a similar price range. I told him I could live with the patina and we worked out a deal.

I think that both of use came out of the deal quite well.

I’d purchased it as a back up for my son as he’s planning on joining the military and when his beloved Friodur needed honing, he’d have one in reserve while it was in transit for me to hone. Unfortunately nothing is as good as his Friodur so it’s either he finds another 8/8, he get’s my 13/16 Friodur or uses his DE that pinklather gave him.

Mike has polished and honed my GONG.

Not only is it very beautiful it shaves like a dream!!

After I received it today I shaved with it tonight and was pleasantly pleased!!!! Very sharp and a very smooth shave!!
