Wow, Friday has turned out to be somewhat of a nightmare. It didn't look too bad until I got it out of the scales. The blade itself wasn't too bad, but the tang was rusted pretty badly and blackened/stained something terrible. I've been working on it on and off all day and it is going to take at least twice as long as the first 4 have.
Again I was able to grab some before pics. There is plenty of grinder marks still in the blade, unlike some of the others I have that are a lot smoother.
Bit off a lot on this one!! I'll post up some more pics when I get her ready.

Heeere's Friday!!
Friday is finally done!!
Man, it was in a lot worse shape than the others by miles.
As you can see in the 'before' pics, it looked good sitting in the scales, but once out, the scales and the blade were both really ugly.
Not any more.
2 more to go and I'll post up the whole 7 day set.

Beautific!! Love my Spike. As a matter of fact, I just had my best straight shave EVER with my "Hammer-Honed" Union Spike. Fine job Mike. And thanks for introducing me to this fine quality American Made piece of history.
