Great job on the restore. Those J Allen's are one of the great underrated Sheffield razors.

I think is is great, but not a Joseph Allen. E.Rich Friedrick with the fencing pair on the tang. I remember a thread where there was a question over the NonXLL moniker . Here it is! Remember this, vaga? I don't see where it was actually made by Allen. Sure looks like one though! http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...-razor-id.html Nice Job!

Well, E.Rich Friedrick (Friedrich) was probably a seller - maybe in the USA or in Germany. Have you seen Neil Miller's opinion:
"There could be another reason though - Allen's manufactured razors for other companies with their mark on one side and the other companies marks on the other side. One such example is the american Robeson Cutlery Co."
I started to search the web again. Can you seee a ressemblance:

doc=_quot_non_xll_joseph_allenandsons_sheffield_en gland_
Another option is that the razor was made by Unwin@Rodgers which means it is even older.
I found their logo here:
English electroplate silver: marks and hallmarks of British silver plate: Ta-Uz
It seems identical as on my razor.
