Default Henckels Fridour in Redwood Burl

I have had this 7/8 Fridour for a while, I wanted to put some more fancy scales on it and finally got the chance.
This is my first attempt at backing wood, I used black acrylic and stabilized Redwood Burl. The finish is Renwax, nickel silver pins stainless washers and white acrylic wedge.

Thanks, the pics do not do it justice. The backing process went very well by the way.

Very nice work Stefan. A beautiful meeting of efficient steel and complimentary stylish wood.

Redwood burl is one of my favorites ... and I love burls. Great job!! Awesome scales. If you do another one, try finishing it
in CA and watch the color jump out at you.
