    Cool First CA finish.

I had a Morely that I keep as a 'loaner' razor for my friends that want to try out this game.
I decided to make some new scales and experiment a bit, so I thought I'd try some CA.

I used gorilla brand super glue and it was awesome to work with!

The scales are Bocote with about 6 layers of CA, then 8 layers of Turtle wax.
Brass pins, with stacked SS and brass washers.

Take a look, I don't have any 'before' pics this time though.

As always, feedback is welcome. Good or bad.

    Cheers!

I'm liking this one too! Nice clean lines.

I'm becoming fascinated by bocote. As well as usually having great grain, it can come out in such a wide range of colours. The last piece that I used was way darker than this, and I have seen others that were more reddish. Interesting wood!

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

I like Bocote. It's odd, I've used the same piece of wood for 3 different sets of scales and each time it looks different depending on which clear finish I use????

    Weird...

very handsome. That last pic shows the depth of finish the CA is known for. Pinning looks good also. 'Very nice work.
