Apocalypse Now
Want to show two really huge Meat-Choppers from filesteel. The blades are 11/8 and the razors are 150 gramm heavy. One is with black-white ebony and a mammoth-ivory wedge, the other with macasar ebony and a bufallo horn wedge. The Horstator razor in the middle is a 5/8 to show the dimension better.

Fantastic looking razors!! Mr Gunkel at his best. That reminds me, I won a gorgeous original Buddel With maple wood scales (Fine Razors - Buddel Razor with stabilizised maple wood) on Fleabay a few weeks back that I need to put to the hones.
Looking at those monsters makes me proud to be part of the Buddel Club!

While waaaaay to large for me, those things are AWESOME. The files must have been huge! Nice Job!
This thread reminds me of a quote from Col. Walter E. Kurtz in the movie, Apocalypse Now.

Wow! Those are like the claymores of the razor world! Scary and beautiful.
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

That's impressive! But for me it isn't just the scale of the things - they both have very elegant designs.
