    Default Custom travel razor...

Normally I agree with you Hirlau, about not using quality razors for experiments...but its original state was in worse shape than it appears in the photo. There was major hone wear, severe pitting and I snapped a scale accidentally. I'm just thankful it came out as well as it did

Generally good work, Though I agree with the overdone triple pin. And, for true ease of use in the nooks and crannies I would have gone round point (depending on your crannies, of course!)

I'm going to be contrarian and say that I like it. Well, I'm not a big fan of the tripple wedge pin. But the spine work is nice and it looks super clean. If I were to buy it I would mute the point a bit as I have a tendancy to draw blood when I'm using a square point. I like the overhang / faux barber's notch thing. It's modern but pays homage to a classic look. I'm sure whomever buys this will like it.

If you do another one that size do a round point with a more flowing notch and go a bit more subtly on the wedge pin. Throw in a bit of colour and you'd have a nice ladies razor or travel razor that would sell like hotcakes on the classifieds.

In my opinion, if you are going to customize, you may as well be original. I like the notch, it kind of gives the blade some panache!

If you were going to keep the razor and you like a sharp point, then so much the better. But given that you are trying to sell it, I have to agree with the round point which I believe would be more appealing to more buyers.

Didn't mean to step on any toes, I didn't realize the quip violated anything when posted...I already tried to remove it, but the forum was down for so long it now requires admin approval.
