Default Collins Special in redwood burl

Restored this 6/8 blade in stabilized Flamed Redwood Burl.
Finished with wipe on poly, acrylic backed. Wedge is bone linen micarta, NiAg pins and stainless washers.

Nicely done. You really brought out the depth of the wood.

Very classy, I think the beauty of these woods should be utilized more. Very nice indeed.
Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.

I'm a sucker for that perfectly flush wedge look. It can be tough to achieve. Good work

I am a real OCD about the edge/scales flush fit, it depends on the finish used IMO. CA and wipe on finishes are not going to affect the flush fit. I have not used epoxy but from what I see it affects the flush fit.
