Thanked: 13247Very nicely done, the finished results shows that you took the time to do it right nice tight workmanship that looks to be well balanced and comfortable in the hand
ps: Eric I think I see what yer looking at, (next to last pic ???) but I think it might be just the angle of the pic, look at the first two pics in the before sequence, it looks like the same grind depth on both sides at least to me...
pps: MM there is a section is the workshop sticky specifically about centering blades that are "Off" there are several different methods of getting them to close better and here in the Wiki is a mish mash of several threads

Thanked: 1371Re: Geo Manby Restoration
Funny. On my phone it looks like there's a dramatic difference in the grind.
Now I'm wondering if they ever made microtomes with a barber's notch...
Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

Thanks everyone! Also, Baldy, not a problem! It's the truth! haha. Glen, I'll have to check out that blade centering when I get the chance to fiddle with it. Right now I'm just working on trying to get it sharp enough to shave with! Which is a beast of its own for some reason. If I don't get it later today when I try, I'll be sending it out. No sense in ruining a good blade because of my novice honing skills.
