Thanked: 0self made safety razor stand any opinions on the finish?
new to safety razor shaving picked up a cheapy van der hagen kit at walmart and using a sampler shaving cream kit from sephora that one of my girlfriends got me for christmas. i thought it needed some kind of stand to make it presentable, a little anyway. so after looking around on the net i found one that i was interested in, but costed way too much. and i thought i can make one, this is what i came up with. let me know what you think maybe i should powder coat it or chrome it?

That looks nice !!....Powder coating or chroming it would be expensive, no ?
What about getting one of those metal coat hangers that are coated with rubber/plastic and twisting, shaping, cutting it into a nice shape ?
I've seen them in black, white, red and blue.
