    Okay thx mick you have been heaps of help. I will need to dry it always then and take care of it.
    Okay thx for that i got a soap bar from mensbiz so i can take it bush.
    would you be able to help me choose a strop mick that is under $50 to start with.

    the outlay is huge at the start but in the longrun i know it will pay its self off

    Haha yes it is.
    i cant wait to have my first shave when my hand is better gives me something to look forward to after my rehab and learn to use my finger again.

    The strop is a good idea you came up with

    That thread is parked for review by the Mods now. I broke some rules by mistake in posting, so until further notice, we'll leave it for now. I did find a reasonably cheap Cyril R. Salter strop. It isn't the best brand out there, and it is on the shortish side, but it would still be a starting point for you...
