Default Aussie SRP members making roo strops

Hey guys, do any of you make (or know other members that make) roo strops? I'm heading to oz again this November and looking for a travel strop. I saw this post and that's the sort of thing I'm after, something that can be rolled up like that. Anyone still making things similar to that link? I've tried other leathers but nothing that can be rolled like that. Cheers guys.

    G'day mate,
I made a couple of Roo strops last year based on Legion & MickR's posts
    it is as easy as

    http://straightrazorpalace.com/works...p-my-take.html

got the leather of "outthere09" from ebay send him a message to confirm availability of you size wanted
mine is about 28"x3" of total stropping area it is huge but rolls down to less than 2" diameter use when I travel & often rotate it as my main strop for the feel of it

edit: PM sent with his contact email

Cheers mate. I use a shell cordovan usually, but there's no way I'm taking that travelling. Last time I took a scrupleworks Norwegian oil tanned strop but need something smaller to be honest.

I posted a while back but unfortunately everyone who was making strops has stopped now. I made 1 using the sticky by Jimbo that worked out well and because of the design wad able to add a second linen firehose type component as well. You could maybe even use the srd replacement roo strop and just make some ends for it.
