WTB:- GEM Single Edge, PTFE- Coated, Stainless Steel Blades
Hi guys,
I picked up a near mint Ever-Ready pat. 1912 Single Edge Razor as part of a Gentlemens Set on Ebay for a couple of quid. I would like to try it out using the "recommended" blades, GEM Single Edge, PTFE- Coated, Stainless Steel Blades. I do not want to purchase 200 from Ted Pella and was hoping someone might be willing to sell me a few just to try it out. I am hoping someone locally in Aus might have some.
Thanks, Sunbird

Thanked: 983Wow, that's a nice offer to make Russ. I passed up on purchasing a Gem razor (single edge razor anyway, may not be known as 'Gem') from an antique store because I thought that the blades were no longer available.
Sunbird you should take Russ up on this kind offer.

Thanked: 1072I have had the same problem. I have my grandfathers GEM but have been unable to get hold of decent blades without ordering in 100 from overseas. If your interested I wouldnt mind sharing some postage costs and buying some from Phatman with you.

I really enjoy my SE razors, in my opinion they don't feel far off from my straights and are better in a rush. My favorite is an Ever Ready 1914.
Ted Pella sells the blades and also has a more traditional carbon blade that has that carbon feel to it. The Stainless PTFE coated blades are really smooth and long lasting.
