When I was leaving, I spoke to the waitress (all very polite and friendly) saying that I was sorry she didn't attend our table a little more as we would have spent more money on coffees and such had she done so. I thought she was avoiding us due to all the bladeware, but she apologised and explained that she was the only one on that evening, and said that next time we should call her over. Possibly a poor decision by management or a failure by another employee to turn up for their shift, as it seemed busy enough to warrant a second Waiter/ess.
I said we should have called her over but we were too wrapped up in our own little world this time around.

More than likely. I had to hold that pose for about five minutes while Stu figured out how to turn his 'phone into a compact camera...
