Thread: Brisbane catch up.

Trying to organise a bit of a meeting of those of us in the Brisbane area.

No real agenda other than meeting each other, swapping hints, ideas, techniques as well as trading/selling any surplus odds and sods we may have picked up.

We aren't going to get a time and place that will be suitable for everyone so what I'd suggest is to nail down a time and place and then work out who can make it from there.

Proposed meeting date and time:
Saturday 23 July at 5:00 pm.

That gives us two weeks or so to sort ourselves out.

Location: ?
Ideally it would be close to the city. Maybe a a bowls club or something like that, but not a pub which would get freaked out by people showing up with cut throats.

I'd like to see if we can make this a semi-regular thing as I know of some barbers who could be persuaded into coming along too, but I think first up we want to keep it with people from here (and B&B too if anyone plays on B&B and knows some Brissie people there who may want to tag along).

That's only a days ride Mick...hahaha

That is a (usual) free weekend for me, but I may have to work due to circumstances outside my control. However, I should be able to leave the farm early and be able to attend. I'm a definate yes providing I can get away first thing Saturday if I have to work that week. Like I said, it's part of a usual weekend at home that day, so I would normally be free to attend.

Ahhhh.... Brisbane. I just have to chip in and say I spent a few months in Brisbane in the late 90's and I have never met such wonderful people before or since. Currently I am recovering from a major surgery but if there is a get together next year I would love to come. If you would accept a yank for a few days I will certainly give it my all to make it.
