Post USPS to Australia - 5-7 Days or 5-7 Weeks?

Is it just me or is the USPS the slowest mail in the world?

I placed a few orders 3 weeks back, since then I have also placed orders in China and the UK.

A week and a half later I received my orders from Chine and the UK but I still don’t have my US Orders.

Is this normal for orders from the US to Australia and how long are you orders taking to get to you? I’m actually getting worried!

Between 2 and 3 weeks. Amazon even longer.

    Luckily everything has eventually arrived.

Parcels might even arrive on the Eastern side of Australia first and then get distributed out West by road............!

    Happy waiting,

I haven't ordered anything from SRD but that delay range, 5-7 days to 5-7weeks is consistent with most things I've gotten from the US. I had one item turn up after about 12weeks once. Wasn't happy about that one.

Every day i have been waking up with a glimmer of hope, Today might be the day! That hope is slowly fading..

Usually, I repeat, usually, 9 days to Sydney with First Class Int. from USA.

Japan is the fastest . I once placed an order with Namikawa 2 pm Friday arvo. Arrived on my doorstep 10 am Monday !

Working days or day days? for Perth I should expect 2-3 days longer then Sydney i guess...

I am starting to get a little frustrated, not only is it the worlds slowest mail.. Its also the worlds most expensive mail....

Edit: Do you usually see "received at Sydney customs" etc in the tracking? All i have is "process through sort facility at... US Airport"

I have ordered another one express (3-5 days). Does anyone have an idea for the time frame with that?

I'm currently sweating over a beautiful Rodgers that was 'processed through a sort facility' in the states on the 15th of June on its way to me in New Zealand - one month plus down the road and the tracking hasn't updated since.... I think it's lost to the ether

Anyone had experience with claiming insurance from USPS?

Wow, A Month! I don't think my items have insurance on them.. well it wasn't offered..

In total i have 5 septette parcels that I'm waiting for and you don't want to know how much money worth (that would be why I'm worried)... I'm beginning to think i don't like the USPS.

I have other stuff from the US using DHL and that was quick! Within a week!
