Cool A little help from my friends

Hey gents I have a question for ya that doesn't involve Razors and Rocks hehehe

Up here in to North Country Uggs are pretty popular but since they have outsourced to China I really don't like the idea of paying Good money for a "Name".. Neither Uggs or Emu carry taller boots for men any longer anyway

So after seeing a stupid comedy on TV with the wife last night, we find these with some searching since now we know they exsist after seeing a pair on the show

Tall Ultimate Sheepskin Boot: Full Calf

So my friends from downunder, anyone ever heard of this company ????

    Many Thanks in advance

Yeppers that was how I found out too, The wife ordered a pair a couple of years back from Vicky Secrets and when she opened the box I said hmmm that smells Chinese (there is a distinct odor from Chinese shoes) sure enough that was the first pair we noticed that they had switched over...

Them's New Zealand boots. We Aussies don't take kindly to New Zealand boots....

But seriously, I've never heard of that company. However, that means very little as I am not an ugg boot person. I do know that Kiwis know their sheep though.

    Off-topic but similar--
About 15 years ago I bought a pair of Dr. Martens from Nordstrom's when they were still made in England. Wore those shoes to work every day for 9 years straight. I have bad ankles so I wear the outside of my shoeheels unevenly. These were just starting to do that so I went back to Nordstrom's to buy another pair. They were basically the same style with the same price as they were 9 years previous, but they were now made in China. To the salesman's credit, he told me that they were nothing like the ones made in England and that if I bought them, I would be very unhappy. Of course I didn't buy them.

Dammit! When did we sell off the Uggies to China? Geez, I've said it once, I'll say it again! We're a bunch of sellouts in this country...Sellout our products and sellout our citizens.
I'd buy New Zealand made as well as Aussie made. Quality will be on a par.

No, never heard of them. But Ugg boots are really common here, esp in these cooler parts of Australia (Mick and Jimbo wouldn't know what they're on about, it never gets below 25 up there). They're also viewed as really tacky. We cal tacky people 'bogans'. Very bad for the snow, as I found out when I was 19. And wearing them to the pub at the ski resort makes you look like a 'snow bunny' (as we used to call nubile female humans in the snow), esp when you're 19 and tend to be slight of build and fine of features...Of course that was the 80's when tight jeans was also the look, but I think I'm just slightly off topic...

Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Yep, Bogans or Bevans and ugg boots and flanno shirts hanging out with a packet of Winnie Reds either tucked into the belt or rolled up in a sleeve. I lived in some cold parts once, in the mountians...Well the 'Great Dividing Range' anyway. Got to be Uggie weather there every winter, but I was more of a Thomas Cook boots, blue jeans, whote T-shirt and Denim jacket sort of bloke. Much cooler in my opinion!

It was probably the same time Dr. Marten's moved their production to China. My "Made in England" pair of Docs are the most comfortable boots I own (worn almost daily) and I've had them for 17 years, whereas my chinese made docs are falling apart only after a couple of years. What a shame. Now when I cruise the bay for razors, I periodically search for "made in England" docs. Found an almost brand new pair last year, bid and won and I was so happy.....turned out they are a 1/2 size too small. Crazy UK shoe sizing. I would willingly pay for the quality that came with the name, but not for just the name and sadly quality seems to be going the way of the Dodo and the boots are not any less expensive.

I'm not familiar with the company, however, any number of stores around here sell the equivalent, only not with the 'workboot' style sole.
I think I paid about AU$40.00 for mine
