I just read Oz's link and, it seems that, if we are going to try and organise a group buy, we just need written permission from a Moderator.

    Easy as - thanks Oz

Hold your horses guys . I'll consult with a Senior Mod.

The process is that the mod has to do the buying & distribution & money collection. From what Mick was saying earlier, considering taxes & other fees which will also include postage from me in Sydney it does not seem there will be any saving to speak of.

Now, if a handful of guys were to pm each other & they were within driving distance that would not be breaking any SRP rules as long as it was not posted openly in the forum. You would save on local postage from me but I don't know that you'd get a great price in the first place. Customs can be a killer if you're not aware of the rules. eg a $1000 dollar timber scaled custom razor will cost you $1300 to receive from the US.

Yeah flags go up at $1000. You get hit with GST. Quarantine tax for timber scales, customs fees, etc... etc...

    Products - Turnleys

Their head office is in Fitzroy, Melbourne. Cycling distance from me, but the times I have gone past and checked were the weekends, and they were shut. Still, Might be worth a look. A lot cheaper than ordering from overseas, even if a bottle is 3x the price they pay in the US.

Thanks mate. I might have to order me some...Even though the price is three times what they pay in the US for probably half the amount they pay for .

How've you been anyway Legion? Haven't seen you about much of late.

I ordered some from Turnleys on Thursday and it arrived at work yesterday. Can't complain about their service!

Not too bad, thanks mate. A few drama's in the personal life, and a heavier workload has meant that I have not been able to do the rounds of the forums as much as I would like. But I still lurk when I can. I have scaled back on the whole shaving rig, one razor, one strop, one brush etc. The rest has been sold or put into storage for the now. But that is OK. I've been around long enough to know what I like and what works for me. It's good to get back to basics.
