Thanked: 983Happy new year firstly to all us Southerners, and secondly to all you Northerners
Well it's still a couple of hours to go, but I don't plan on sitting in front of this computer much longer, so I would like to say a Happy New Year to everyone Down Under in the Southern Hemispere, and all those in this Great Southern Land of OZ, and also to all those in the Northern Hemispere, but by then it'll already be the 2nd of January in the real world .
Happy new year everyone, and may it be a good one for you, from start to finish!

Thanked: 983Now, it's been many years since I played at soldiers, so it came as somewhat of a surprise when I found myself taking cover and searching in vain for my non existant SLR on my front verandah last night. Someone down the street had set off a firework across the road, that sounded exactly like a heavy machine gun being fired. I suppose it should be good to know that old training will still kick in even after nearly 20 years...

Thanked: 983Oh so true, and I don't envy the poor b@stards either. I was lucky enough to discover my principles early in the game. Mate of mine who stayed in for much longer than me has serious PTSD. I can only imagine how bad that must be, considering my own reactions and mental/emotional state last night. My mate has become a recluse.
You have a good one blackers10.
