The army pretty much provides my dress clothes. That said, I have a custom blue, black and gray suit. One from England and 2 from Korea. The gray one is an exact duplicate of 007's from "From Russia With Love". I also have a tuxedo I had made in Bulgaria with both black and white dinner jackets.
As for the black leather outfit, that's pretty cool. If you want to look like a gay Mighty Morphin Power Ranger.

Thanked: 485Hmm, didn't notice the single button. I NEVER actually do up a jacket, I always wear it in a casual manner. Even with slacks I wear no tie and the jacket undone.
I think the handkerchiefs are nice, too. I'm wondering if the top pocket is a real pocket. I think a handkerchief just sticking a little out the pocket would add some colour and interest. Not sure if I'm bold enough for the handky though, and I don't want to look gay (not that there's anything wrong with that)...
Yes, I do wonder at myself sometimes. I've worked there for 15 years and I guess I've sort of built up to being a little more stylish. My wife told me I'd get raped or bashed or both. They can't do anything WITH cash anyway; it's a cashless society...I think adding little things to your day like vintage cufflinks, nicely polished boots, an umbrella adds some nicety to one's day. That's why I shave with a straight.
I'm not Mad Max! (not that there's anything wrong with that).

Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Carl, Grab it! It's perfect for you. You'll never need another jacket again.
Personally, I think it's one of those pajama material coats. You could wear it to bed when you get home.
The single button is telling.
But not to worry, by the time you make your mind up it will be the middle of summer, when such a jacket will be both outdated and redundant.I love the smell of shaving cream in the morning!

Knew this was you frankie before i saw who wrote it, one of the few good things about using a smartphone to view the forum is the ability to widen the screen and blank out the poster.
It made me laugh coz its true. We should probably do a short sleeve shirt and Sunhat thread.Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast

I have a related question, mostly aimed at other Londoners:
I have a jacket where the sleeves are a little bit too long—does anyone know of somewhere good (emphasis on good, here) in London that I can get the sleeves taken up?

Carl if you don't want to look gay you could either:
1 wear something completely outlandish that only a confident man could get away with:
2 wear a disguise

Hi Carl,
I have one of these, I'm thinking this would be perfect for you, a known classic smart yet casual all at the same time the colour stone would mix and match with both jeans and trousers, I have the older vintage model in this jacket, really practical and it looks great on, and I'll guarantee this will always be fashionable but never out of fashion. a Barbour International.

Thanked: 983Well now what about something like this?! Nothing like a bit of Bear skin on display to make you feel manly after all:
You could always dress it down to this on the hotter days. I was thinking in your job, flanno might just be the ducks guts! Just be careful around the inmates...and co-workers for that matter, if you dress it down to just the Kilt and shirt ! Unless you've accessorised with the optional sword from the first picture.
