Pocket squares are classic fashion. Nothing gay about it.

Very true, but what he means is that by being worn by him they would look gay. Indeed, we all sympathize with the pocket squares.

Barbours are known to be high quality jackets. Unfortunately here they are highly priced too. So i've had for years UK made Knightsbridge jacket from Oxford Blue. It's been a good jacket that doesn't need more than waxing every second year. Of course too cold during wintertimes.
Barbour has a Beufort jacket that looks the same, almost.

Here's something special for you, mr. Carl. Jacket for the men who choose their own paths. And as we all know you Australians have these things called sharks swimming around your swimming pools or what was it? But this shark-proof piece of fashion will make them your best mates. Actually they buy you some Fosters upon noticing you swimming around their nests with this lovely and mannish jacket on (remember to zip all the way up the hood too).

What? No? Ok, there was no decent place for your new nose rag. But here something that surely emphasises masculinity, making you look woaahhh and all. And surely you will be the front page whenever you may roam. Or roar.

The picture that Jamie posted seems ton have disappeared. I've heard of the Barbour brand, I think. I'm not able to spend more than maybe 400 max on a jacket...

Nice jeans dressed up is a look these days - even presidents pull this off in a casual setting. So I don't think you need to worry about whether any one of these elements specifically is over the line, but rather that the outfit as a whole pulls together. And that'll depend squarely on your own style. My own sense is that pocket squares are popular right now, so you won't be risking anything by trying it.

If I was in mount torrens, I would come round and slap you, loose the indecision, work out what you like and buy it. Or give someone you trust $2000 and ask them to sort you out. :-)
