Well, since I bought a Colt 1873 SAA
I decided I needed a new, black cowboy hat to match it.

Work helmet. Technically it's not a hat but whatever. Mini me created by my daughter (10 at the time) and myself.

For their 150th anniversary Stetson produced some open crown versions of their classic hats. The open crown Premier Stratoliner is a great hat.

As I get older, I am very conscious of sun exposure and wear my wide brim Tilley for all outdoor work in the summer. They come with a lifetime free replacement guarantee that I have taken advantage of when replacing a hat I wore for 15 years.

Yup, I have a summer Tilley hat and a winter one. Both work well

Even if they offer it I would have a hard time asking for a replacement at their price after I had worn it for 15 years.

Not only did they replace the hat, they let me keep the old damaged hat. Worked great for another 5 years of sweaty garden work.
