    Default Johnny Cash/The Legend of the Man in Black

    I do hope that at least some members enjoy the music of Johnny Cash! I’ve listened to him since I was a small boy (I’m 60) and I love his music and his message!

    If you can spare an hour to watch and listen to how he got started, endured and maybe most importantly how he ended his long career!

    Johnny Cash is in:

    The Rockabilly Hall of Fame
    The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
    And the Country Music Hall of Fame

    I do hope all will enjoy and share with your non-SRP friends!

    I'm fortunate to have a 16 year old who dislikes rap, but likes Lady Ga Ga,Selena Gomez, Celine Dion, Adele, Elvis & Johnny Cash, which he has most all of his songs on his Ipod.

    This is his favorite Johnny cash song;

    I love his music, and my favourite would have to be one of his better known classics I walk the line.

    Way back in 1970 I met a very beautiful young woman whose name was Jane Davis. She was my first true love! As I orignally posted that I'd been listening to Johnny Cash since I was young (about 14 years old) anyway I introduced her to this song. We used to walk, holding hands and singing this song.

    Many years later I ran into her and it was like being together again. She told me that she had recently dated a man and he started to sing this song to her. She stopped him and informed him that only she and I could sing that song 'properly'!

    Two years ago she and her current husband were in my checkout line and she was very 'different' very quiet. I hadn't seen them for a year or two. I chatted with her husband and when the transaction was finished and I went to hand him the receipt, he leaned over and quietly said; 'Things have changed since we saw you last, She has Dementia. I was crushed! She had turned 58 barely two weeks before on the 14th of January. Yes after all those years I still remember her birthday! She was and will always be very special to me!

    I hope all will enjoy this! It is very special to me!

    This one is I think my favourite but that is only speaking at this current moment of time. This one also seems quite pertinent to your story
