I love my G19!!! The only mods I've done to mine are TruGlo TFO sights and the Glock OEM 3.5# connector (as well as a polish to all the trigger components). Almost forgot, I love the Gen3's as I can add the "skateboard" tape around the grip and on the slide.

It's my daily carry when off duty.

I also carry a 5-shot S&W 38 Special +p (which is my on-duty backup ankle rig). It has a partially shrouded hammer. Some carry this as a pocket pistol as there is no hammer exposed to get caught on clothing, etc. I can still access the hammer if need be (actually if time permits) for a lighter trigger pull (single action / SA - for those who love acronym).

Occasionally, mostly for convenience sake, I carry a Kel-Tek PF9 (DAO - double-action only). They've designed it to place a clip (yes a clip, not a magazine) on the R side of the frame for convenient carry. It has a ridiculous 9lb trigger pull however. But it's better than a stick in the eye (is what I always say!).

I always thought with respect to full sized pistols anyway, that this would just melt in the hand:

Thank You David, it is part of my pride and joy collection, it took me 15 years to get all 4 in my hands,

    686 in .357
657 in the rare .41 mag
    624 in 44 special
    629 in .44 mag

All the same configuration, snubs with the Lew Horton style grips

I've got the old FBI issue model 66 with the round butt and the 2 1/2" bbl. Shoots a flame 3 feet long when you shoot 357 mag in it. Got a Milt Sparks IWB holster for it but it is too thick to carry without printing and I just have it 'cause it is beauteous.

My latest crave is a Glock in 45ACP. I don't want a CCW in that caliber, but I just want one to shoot. I'm torn between the model 21 with the 4 1/2" bbl and heavy slide or the new kid on the block, the G-41 with the 5 3/8" bbl and the thinner .40 caliber slide. Both weigh about the same and hold 13 in the mag and one in the pipe. Decisions, decisions.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

    This.

Beretta Model '34 9kurz. The safety is for crap. You need to be in serious combat to carry one safety-off, a cap in the pipe and no padlocked holster flap; and about half of the hot casings discharge on top of your head. Geeeezo. It feels like it was sprayed into my hand. It is beautiful, practically art. It's like, who ever saw an ugly Ferrari and who ever saw a Ferrari with more than 20,000 miles on the clock? Italians... they DO have an eye for beauty.

Agreed my "go to town" carry weapon is a Beretta 85F .380 it really does just sweep sweetly right into my hand, just purrs as you shoot it too, recoil is minimal, muzzle flip is non-existent, no blinding flash, or deafening boom... Just a beauty
