Whatever you get make sure if it is an alloy upper that the feed ramp is steel. Buddy had a Kimber 45, a high end one, and the feed ramp was alloy. Part of the lower. Gave him a lot of problems and he sent it back to them. Got it back and it seemed to feed okay but he couldn't trust it and sold it.

Well, I decided on another model of the Sig 938 & found it a LOT cheaper even with a laser, check it out: Sig 938 with grips and laser : Semi Auto Pistols at GunBroker.com

Will be sending them my FFL info today & should have it by the end of the week...yep, I'm stoked to have another weapon to choose from.

You got me to look at my Kimber Ultra CDP II that is my current CCW and there is about 1/16" of aluminum that appears polished before the bullet starts on the steel feedramp of the barrel. I'll have to sharpie it and see if the bullet is contacting the aluminum or not, you have me intrigued now as we both know that aluminum will wear more than steel and you really can't add aluminum to the frame...

Shooter, I have the p938 SAS and its awesome !! You will love the model you picked as well. I started with the 238 and then they came out with the 938 and I had to have it. They are snappy, no joy to shoot but its a great CCW weapon.

I see you are also an FFL holder, do you have store front or do web sales ? I have a shop up here in Maine.

Thanks for the heads up, I look forward to the little guy. The G26 is right at 22 oz unloaded, the P938 is 16 oz unloaded...so I expect it to be about the weight of the glock when it's loaded. I imagine it's going to be snappy, but I'm married...so I'm used to it.

I did not mean to mislead, I am not a FFL holder. I have a friend who I work with who is a ffl holder & he handles all of my transactions. I've considered it, but here are a LOT of ffl holders here in my area and I'm not sure if I could make enough to pay for the cost of the license. My wife is pushing me to do it, I'm just haven't made up my mind if I want the hassle.

If they do come out with 9mm in the G42 frame, I'll have one. I am not a fan of the glocks in regards to looks as there is nothing "pretty" about them, but I deeply respect them when it comes to function...the ak-47 of the pistol world. For the $, I feel that they are the best bang for the buck & I often recommend them.

My personal "line" is at 9mm when it comes to size or I would have considered the .380's...even though I always, always have my little NAA Pug in 22mag in my pocket "just in case". After a couple hours with a file to knock down the edges and shorten the hammer, that lil guy carries wonderfully.
