Default 9mm ultra compacts aka pocket rockets, what say ye?

Just called the bank and have a check in the mail to me. I'm looking for a new pocket rocket. I'm strongly considering the Sig 938 SAS due to the reputation of the company, the beveled carry treatment, some feedback from a friend, and shooting one. My only gripe is the heavy trigger. I currently have a G26 & Kimber Ultra CDP in the ultra compact world, just looking for something a bit lighter and smaller...but still with bite.

9mm is as small as I am considering, what do you guys recommend by experience?

I take it a small revolver is out of the question, like a 340PD?

I carry a Springfield xp most of the year ,, but I. The hot months when I'm wearing light clothes I got a 38 LCR ruger , concealed hammer,, nothing wrong with a good old revolver and plenty to knock down , very light and easy on the wallet too. Tc

I'm no gunsmith but I say nothing wrong with a revolver save the capacity issue. Other than that, still good and dependable.

Been there and done that. The S&W 340PD is very light, shooting 357s is painful, and it simply won't conceal as well as a flat semi-auto. I just maybe a week ago traded my S&W 640 357mag for a Glock G-26 in 9 and it is very nice for concealment. The same size as my G-27 so I can use the same holsters if I want to take one of the other.

I have a Sig P238 380 and it is a great little carry gun. I've seen the 938 and was sorely tempted. Not much bigger than my 380 Sig. I imagine it has a pretty good snap to it being as small as it is. Kahr Arms P9 and the even smaller PM9 are also a great choice IMHO. You don't have to carry 'cocked and locked' like the Sig, and no safety to remember to disable in a shooting strait. A very well made pistol, and made in the USA I might add.

The problem always comes down to weight for me for a CCW.. I looked at the SIG 938 (sweet pistol), I just don't like the weight. I like something that I can just clip on and not feel as I am moving around... I am in the market also.. I am giving my Keltec to my son, and my LRC Ruger is too thick to be comfortable.. I am thinking about hte ruger lcp.. I know it's not 9mm, but it sure is comfortable to wear..

I'm a fan of my little J-frame, practice with .38 target, carry with .357 .. never had to draw it in my life, let alone fire, so if the zombies number is above 5 I'm out. With a Glock, there would always be 18 zombies, so why not save the weight?

Revolver is out, I have a smith 642. 9mm is as low as I will go. The sig is 17 ounces empty, loaded I think its lighter than the g26 empty.
